Rob Holdway has over 20 years professional experience as a sustainability professional working on eco-design, Life Cycle assessment (LCA), technical and market analysis and resource efficiency. Rob’s experiences spans Electricals and Electronics, Food & Drink and Textiles and built environment/construction sectors.
Rob was described by The Manufacturer Magazine as ‘’the UK’s leading consultant on sustainable design’. Giraffe was described by The Guardian newspaper business pages as ‘one of the UK’s top green businesses’. He gave evidence to UK Government House of Commons Environment Audit Committee on the importance of the Circular Economy, and the GLA (London Mayors) office on a similar theme.
Rob is a familiar media face in design, innovation and sustainability issues and is best known for presenting Channel 4’s ‘Dumped’ TV programme where 11 unsuspecting people signed up for an eco-challenge only to be told they would live off a landfill site for 3 weeks. He has also appeared on BBC 10 O’clock news, BBC News 24, CNN, ITV Trevor MacDonald Tonight, Russia Channel 1, Time Magazine and WIRED.
Rob is a London Sustainable Development Commission - London Leader, a Davos World Economic Forum YGL, Professor Associate, Brunel University School of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce.
