The UK's coffee habit produces hundreds of thousands of tonnes of waste coffee every year, much of which ends up in landfill emitting potent greenhouse gases. bio-bean was founded in 2013 to tackle this problem, recycling the grounds into sustainable biofuels and biochemicals.

  • Coffee Logs are carbon neutral, eco heating briquettes for wood burners, multi-fuel stoves and open fires; made from recycled coffee grounds, collected from coffee shops and businesses around the UK.  Coffee Logs can be used on their own or together with dry wood.

  • The UK drinks 95 million cups of coffee every day, creating hundreds of thousands of tonnes of waste coffee grounds each year. bio-bean works with the existing waste management infrastructure to collect used coffee grounds from businesses in the UK, recycling the grounds into sustainable biofuels and biochemicals.
