Healthcare, Washroom, Floorcare Hygiene and Specialist are our business. We stay on top of all the legislative developments affecting your industry to provide you with expert advice on what you need to do to ensure that your business is legally compliant.
We are all human. From the first moments of infancy, through life, in ill-health and old age, we produce a very wide range of waste that needs to be managed hygienically.
As hygiene experts, dealing with the business of being human is at the very heart of the services we provide.
With 51 Operation centre’s throughout the UK, we’re in every geographical area and because we’re Next door. Everywhere, we are on hand to help wherever you are.
You may find us at your local dentist, collecting and disposing of sharps and dental waste, or at your local retail store, delivering and installing the latest hygiene technology in washrooms and protecting the well-being of staff, customers and patients alike.
Our professional service drivers provide a discreet and efficient service. And, if any of your products or services need changing, we’re just a call away and have the flexibility to adapt to whatever is needed.
With the UK population estimated to reach 68.5 million by 2025, human waste levels increasing and landfills fast becoming full, demand for their hygiene waste disposal will be an issue unless we act now. We have the solution with LifeCycle. Our patented waste to energy plant can dispose of hygiene waste and process it into an alternative fuel known as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF). This fuel could be used to power schools, homes and industries.
During 2017 we were able to convert 8,800 tonnes of hygiene waste into 5,945 tonnes of RDF fuel. That’s enough energy to power 5,945 average family homes for a whole year!
In 2018, it’s our aim to divert 35,000 tonnes away from landfill.
Our environmental efforts don’t end there. From 2018, all phs Group fitted or loose lay mats will be made using ECONYL® 100% regenerated nylon.
ECONYL® yarn is a 100% regenerated and regenerable Nylon 6, made from waste, such as fluff from carpets, textiles and recovered fishing nets disposed in the sea. So, our mats are not only helping keep your floors clean, they are helping to clean up the oceans.
