As Chief Executive of the Sustainable Energy Association Lesley draws on 30 years in the energy industry. She has worked on a range of energy policy developments across the whole energy chain from upstream to downstream and in a number of countries. Her roles have included, Commercial Negotiator, Audit Manager, Head of Communications, Head of Stakeholder and Government Relations and Senior Consultant. Lesley headed up the CSR programmes for a FTSE 100 company for 10 years, implementing a range of programmes aimed at engaging and benefiting both local communities and employees. Lesley’s current focus is on the development of policy to decarbonise heating by growing the market for energy efficiency and low carbon heat. Her commercial background together with her experience of working with governments and regulators to shape energy policy give Lesley an understanding and focus on developing practical policy solutions. Lesley is a fellow of the Energy Institute, a qualified accountant (CIMA), a member of CIPR and has a degree in Business Studies.
