Head of electric vehicles , REA
Matthew Trevaskis is Head of Electric Vehicles at the REA. In 2005 Matthew founded Ecodrive with a fleet of 16 ex-Local Authority electric cars and vans, trialling them with fleets and end users both in Cornwall and London. In 2010 Ecodrive became a consultancy and he has since worked on public sector bodies on bids for OLEV, with the NHS fleet, and with vehicle brands such as Peugeot-Citroën, Renault, Kia and BMW in developing trials, educating staff, and developing skills. He has been Head of EVs at the REA since 2017. Matthew has also been a postgraduate researcher in mathematics and holds numerous electrical qualifications. His love of EVs stretches back to 1999 when he personally bought a road-registered electric Peugeot moped.
