Policy and engagement lead, IEMA

Nick Blyth leads IEMA’s policy and practice work on Climate Change and Corporate Sustainability.  In 2014, Nick led IEMA work with the Global Association of Corporate Sustainability Officers and its merger in 2014 into IEMA. He is also Vice Chair of the International Standardization Organisation’s (ISO) Task Force on Climate Change Coordination.

Nick has delivered a range of practitioner evidence, guidance and resources. These include Beyond the Perfect Storm – The Corporate Sustainability Challenge (2015), Special Report on GHG Management and Reporting (2010), Business Case Guidance for Climate Change Adaptation (2013), Driving Climate Actions through ISO14001 (2017) and IEMA’s Climate Change Position Statement (2014). He also has worked with professionals to deliver consultation responses influential in new policy and in standards developments (such as BSi PAS2050 and PAS2060 and in the UK introduction of Mandatory GHG reporting, ESOS and SECR).

Nick has worked in a number of sectors including Consultancy, Local Authority and NGOs.  He is a fellow of IEMA and a Chartered Environmentalist.
