Prof Simon Pollard
Pro-vice-chancellor, Cranfield University
Simon leads the School of Water, Energy and Environment at Cranfield and he is the University’s lead on International Partnerships. A Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, Simon’s career includes senior appointments in academia, consulting and government. His research seeks to reconcile societal unease about pollution with enhanced organisational responsibilities for its safe management. His recent work for the US Water Research Foundation on business risk management within the water sector is paving the way for improved approaches to water utility resilience.
